The newest member of the QMJHL has hockey fans talking.  There are high hopes for the return of hockey to Newfoundland and the results are being seen at the turnstile.  Hopefully the Newfoundland Regiment have a long and successful reign at Mary Brown’s Centre in spite of the travel challenges it brings the league.  Hockey on the Rock is a necessity and Junior Hockey is the perfect fit.

It’s a new era for hockey on the Gulf Coast. The Sea Wolves have sailed off, and from the warm waters of the Gulf has emerged something new – the Biloxi Breakers, the newest franchise in the FPHL.

Although this arena’s days are numbered, going to the Saddledome to take in a Flames game is still always a good time.

The Space Needle might be the most visited attraction in Seattle but Climate Pledge Arena is quickly becoming a must see venue for sports fans and concert devotees.

Taking in a Brock Badgers hockey game will give the fans the opportunity to catch a consistently competitive hockey team play in a bright, clean and comfortable setting.  It is worth checking out Niagara Region and Brock University for a bit of Brockey Night in Canada.

All hockey fans should consider making a pilgrimage to see the Toronto Maple Leafs and extend the trip to see the city of Toronto and especially the Hockey Hall of Fame.  Scotiabank Arena remains among the premier venues in the league and MLSE has done a spectacular job keeping the arena relevant for the last two decades and continuing to revamp and upgrade the experience.

Mullett Arena offers a great game day college hockey experience for both players and fans.

Although it may be the smallest centre in the OJHL, the Haliburton County Huskies are putting together a big time experience.  S.G. Nesbitt Memorial Arena is one of the cleanest, brightest facilities in the league and fans will have a wonderful time at a Huskies game. 

The Maryland Terrapins compete in Division II of the ACHA, and as there is no ice arena on campus, they play their home games in nearby Laurel, at the Laurel Ice Gardens, a municipal rink that is home to several different amateur teams.

There’s nothing especially flashy or fancy about Driscoll Rink, and it certainly isn’t convenient for fans of Roger Williams hockey, but that doesn’t matter for Hawk hockey fans, who have been waiting almost three decades for a return to the NCAA. Surely there are more permanent plans on the horizon for the Hawks, so stay tuned…

Heading to Prince Edward County is a great plan, especially in the autumn.  While in Prince Edward County, taking in a Wellington Dukes game at Lehigh Arena is a fantastic idea and will leave fans satisfied in one of the most picturesque areas of Ontario.

In recent years, Lord Stanley’s Cup has found a winter home at the Amerant Bank Arena, home of the Florida Panthers .

The Yost Ice Arena is the home of Michigan Wolverines hockey. It is a place to be for the hockey scene.

A trip to see the Burlington Cougars will not blow fans away with bells and whistles and Central Recreation Centre has some issues, however, there is great value in OJHL hockey and the Cougars are consistently competitive.  Fans will leave a Cougars game having enjoyed themselves and seen some solid hockey.

The St. James is a 450,000 square foot sports complex and gym in Springfield, Virginia. It contains facilities for just about every sport you can imagine, including batting cages, a football field, a swimming pool, an ice hockey rink, and much more. The Delaware Blue Hens women's ice hockey program was upgraded from club to NCAA level in 2025, and now competes in Atlantic Hockey America, a hockey-only conference formed in 2023 by the merger of the men's-only Atlantic Hockey and the women's only College Hockey America. They play their home games at Fred Rust Arena on the UD campus.

The Senator John Heinz History Center is Pennsylvania’s largest history museum. Two floors of the History Center are devoted to the Western Pennsylvania Sports Museum.

It’s easy to be overshadowed in the crowded Boston hockey scene, but the Tsongas Center is still one of the better hockey rinks in the area, even if it’s often overlooked by its more famous brethren in the area.

TD Garden is never mentioned among the elite venues of the National Hockey League. But a visit to Boston has to be considered on any hockey fan’s short list. The fans, the neighborhood, and the Garden will not disappoint any Stadium Journeyer.
