The atmosphere at Colonial Downs is amazing even on regular race days; the property is in a secluded, upscale area that feels very much like you are going out to a country club. The racing is run over three different courses, two turf and one dirt, and almost every seat outside is under cover, so you can be protected from the elements.

The Paducah Chiefs play at Brooks Stadium, a historic ballpark that offers fans a comfortable place to watch summer collegiate baseball.

With the transition to the fully professional Canadian Baseball League, time will tell how this affects the league members. It seems as though the Guelph Royals are continuing as a strong member of the league that offers a good environment for baseball at Hastings Stadium and a good experience for fans.
