Once a year the Brock Badgers “Paint the Meridian Red” storming downtown St. Catharines.  This basketball event is one of the elite USports basketball events and one of the few off campus events.  Taking in the Badgers at Meridian Centre will definitely make fans See Red!

One of the most significant events in Guelph annually is The Frosty Mug.  The Guelph Gryphons pack fans into the Sleeman Centre every year for the most boisterous and loud hockey event in town.  Getting to The Frosty Mug should be on the bucket list and is a part of a small handful of USports events that fans should not miss if possible.

Taking in a Memorial Sea~Hawks game while in St. John’s is a great way to add to a Newfoundland vacation.  The Sea~Hawks provide a solid product on the court and are among the most affordable tickets in the country.  It may not be the first idea a fan gets when heading to the east coast, but it should definitely be considered.

Taking in a Brock Badgers hockey game will give the fans the opportunity to catch a consistently competitive hockey team play in a bright, clean and comfortable setting.  It is worth checking out Niagara Region and Brock University for a bit of Brockey Night in Canada.

Although it may be the smallest centre in the OJHL, the Haliburton County Huskies are putting together a big time experience.  S.G. Nesbitt Memorial Arena is one of the cleanest, brightest facilities in the league and fans will have a wonderful time at a Huskies game. 

Taking in an Ottawa Gee-Gees football game is a great way to spend a fall afternoon and Gee-Gees Field, although not fancy, does offer a uniquely “Ottawa” experience.  The location right on the Rideau River is very unique and the Parliament Building can even be seen from a few spots.  It is definitely worth the trip.

Knight-Newbrough Field @ University Stadium continues to be a work in progress.  Significant improvements have been made to the facility.  It looks like Laurier Golden Hawk fans will be rewarded with a great facility after enduring the growing pains of a number of years of construction.  It remains to be seen just how good the final product will be when the dust is cleared and the Seagram Project is finally complete.

Heading to Varsity Arena is a trip back in time to an old school arena where hockey remains the focus. 

The former Maple Leaf Gardens is not what it once was, but it's been brilliantly restored to a fully functional facility for USports hockey.

When in the Maritimes, taking in a Moncton Aigles Bleus game may be the best mix of sports and Acadian culture that can be found. 

Hockey is probably not the first thing you think of when it comes to PEI, but the UPEI Panthers can be part of a good visit to the island.

It is difficult to find a program that has been as dominant as the UNB Reds have been in USports hockey. 

When in Ottawa, taking in a Carleton Ravens hockey game is a great way to enjoy an evening of hockey for a low price

If attending an Ottawa hockey game, fans will be able to answer the question “What the heck is a Gee-Gee?”

Les Prince Field @ Ron Joyce Stadium provides comfort and solid sightlines.  In the end, it all works out to a (Mc)Master Class in football.

Other USports programs should consider taking some pointers from the Purple Ponies to make their experience as “Big Time” as possible.
