Originally known as the Lawrence Bowl when it opened in 1965, the Banta Bowl was made possible by an anonymous gift from George Banta Jr. ’10, an alumnus of Lawrence College. The name behind the donation was only revealed upon his death in 1978, at which point the name was changed in his honor.

Powers Field at Princeton Stadium opened on September 19, 1998 with a win over Cornell. The new stadium replaced the old facility, Palmer Stadium, which had served the Princeton Tigers’ football team for 82 years. In all the Ivy League Tigers have been playing football on this same site since 1914.

Opened in 1895, Franklin Field in Philadelphia, PA is recognized as the oldest still-active stadium in all of college football. The facility originally had wooden stands, which were rebuilt with concrete in 1922, with the upper deck added in 1925. This 130-plus-year-old stadium even served as the home field of the Philadelphia Eagles back in the 1950s and 60s, in the days before the team changed their logo to the modern version used today.

Wisconsin Lutheran College plays its home football games at Historic Raabe Stadium in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. The school began playing football in the year 2000, and currently competes in the NCAA’s Division III Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC).

B. T. Harvey Stadium opened in 1983 and holds a total of 9,000 spectators. While the facility itself has fallen into disrepair, the venue still boasts a great band (the “House of Funk”), wonderful concessions, and fabulous sightlines. Unfortunately, very few fans attend games here.

Kyle Field is the original home of the 12th Man. Texas A&M has owned the trademark since 1990, but the tradition dates back to 1922. That year, Texas A&M played Centre College, the number 1-ranked team in the country. The Aggies suffered so many injuries during the game that Coach Bible feared he wouldn’t have enough players to finish the contest, so he called former player E. King Gill down to the sideline.

The desire to bring football back to Tulane's campus eventually produced Yulman Stadium, a $73 million facility that opened against Georgia Tech on September 6, 2014. For the first time since 1974, football was played on the Uptown campus.

This season, Schreiner University brought back its long-dormant football program. Once the home of Pro Football Hall of Famer Raymond Berry, the Schreiner Mountaineers returned to Division III play in 2026 for the first time since the 1950s.

The Bengals play at Coyer Field, which opened in the early 1960s and is named after a legendary coach and athletic director at the school, Hubert "Hube" Coyer. The facility holds 3,000 fans in stands on one side of the field, and boasts a stellar press box for a school at this level.

Although the RedBlacks have had some issues on the field, taking in an Ottawa RedBlacks is a great option for part of an Ottawa vacation. The rebuilding of the north stand will cause some growing pains in the short term, but the long term investment in Ottawa football is a great sign for CFL fans everywhere.

The West Georgia Wolves offer a stellar atmosphere for a football game. In a stadium that only holds 10,000 fans, they offer all the amenities you could ask for, including a full-on team store, a beer garden, a great mascot and cheer squad, fireworks after every home, an energetic band, and much more. The facility looks clean and modern, and you can get in and out easily.

A lot has changed around Southern Miss football in the last few years. The move to the Sun Belt Conference in 2022 ended a 27-year run in C-USA and placed Southern Miss in a league filled with regional opponents, familiar names, and shorter road trips. Four years later, the Sun Belt no longer feels new, but change has continued around the program.

The Toronto Argonauts continue to fight and claw their way into the consciousness of the local sports fan in Toronto. Taking in an Argo game at BMO Field is definitely a positive experience, one that more fans need to experience.

Participating in the Oskee-Wee-Wee chant at a Hamilton Tiger-Cats game is a truly unique CFL and Hamilton experience. For fans of the league, heading to the Hammer is a must-do, bucket list item and fans will not be disappointed.

The medieval town of Denbigh, translated as ‘the little fortress’, is home to Cymru North side Denbigh Town FC.

Normally home to the Okanagan Sun of the Canadian Junior Football League and Okanagan FC of the Pacific Coast Soccer League, the Apple Bowl in Kelowna, British Columbia has fixed seating for about 2,300 fans. However, in 2026 the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League will play two games here, bringing in 17,000 additional seats in the form of temporary bleachers, transforming the space into a party-like atmosphere.

The BC Lions of the Canadian Football League have been making the rounds of their province in the past couple of years, from Touchdown Pacific in Victoria in 2024 to games at Starlight Stadium in nearby Langford (since 2025), as well as games in Kelowna starting in 2026.

A new study published by researchers from online European betting site Parhaat Uudet Kasinot found that Texas was home to four out of 10 of the stadiums in the US with the worst food quality. Claiming the worst spot was the historic Cotton Bowl in Dallas, home to the annual Red River Rivalry game between the Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners.

While they are currently surging in the NBA Playoffs, the New York Knicks were recently crowned as the most expensive professional team to support in all of sports. A study from Foresight Sports found that major sports ticket prices have risen over 25% in the past three years.

The Houston Gamblers ride again! For the third time in history, the Gamblers live to call H-Town their home. For the 2026 season, the Gamblers will be calling Shell Energy Stadium their home field.
