Six years later, Hancock Whitney Stadium has become much more than just a replacement for Ladd-Peebles. The Jaguars enjoyed a 10-win season in 2022 and followed that with their first bowl victory in 2023, defeating Eastern Michigan 59-10 in the 68 Ventures Bowl on their own home field. Another bowl championship followed in 2024 with a 30-23 victory over Western Michigan in Montgomery.

Center Parc began its life in 1996 as the Atlanta Centennial Olympics Stadium, hosting both the opening and closing ceremonies as well as several track and field events. Following the Olympics, it was reconfigured for baseball, as was christened as Turner Field, the home of the Atlanta Braves.

The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers football program and Brooks Stadium were established in 2003, when the program began competing as a member of the Big South Conference.

A lot has changed around Southern Miss football in the last few years.
