This is a bucket list experience. If you only ever see one college basketball game, let it be in the Phog.

Koessler Athletic Center - Canisius Golden Griffins
The Canisus Golden Griffins provide a college basketball experience that is appropriate for the size of the school and conference they play out of. The opportunity is there for a great experience at Koessler Athletic Center, one that is enhanced even more when the Griffs are playing the rival Niagara Purple Eagles.

Cassell Coliseum - Virginia Tech Hokies
Cassell Coliseum is an old arena, but is still going strong after over 60 years. With raucous fans, especially the Cassell Guard student section, and an electrifying atmosphere from pregame until the final buzzer, a Virginia Tech basketball game is a top-notch fan experience.

Pizzitola Memorial Sports Center - Brown Bears Basketball
The Pizzitola Center is a small, plain facility which falls short of its historic and unique Ivy League peers in many ways. Still, this cozy gym is not without its own charms, and is frequented by dedicated fans and staff who work hard to put on a good show. In Rhode Island, where hockey and Providence College hoops rule the local scene, there’s a hidden gem on the East Side worth visiting. Go Bruno!

Cabot Center - Northeastern Huskies
The Cabot Center is by no means a suitable permanent home for the Husky basketball teams. But compare this facility to other small gyms in the area, and it doesn’t really come up short. As Northeastern’s new athletics home is built, the sturdy Cabot Center will ably hold down the fort for the next two or three seasons.

Hooper Eblen Center - Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles
The Eblen Center’s exterior has a subtle coliseum feel, with brick construction and large glass entrances. Inside, however, the court area feels more modern, featuring a seating bowl made entirely of padded black seats that complement the school’s purple-and-gold color scheme.

Dedmon Center - Radford Highlanders
The Dedmon Center is an architecturally unique arena. Attending a Radford basketball game feels like watching basketball in a giant tent, with a fabric roof overhead, and giant curtains on the sides. The unusual setup ensures this doesn't just feel like some generic arena as many other places do, and the pregame introductions try to set the stage, but there is so much more potential here if Radford would draw better crowds.

Kimmel Arena - UNC-Asheville Bulldogs
The atmosphere inside Kimmel Arena is not overwhelming or particularly intimidating for visiting teams, but for an NCAA Division I venue, it generates a surprising amount of energy.

Tripp Athletic Center - UMass Dartmouth Corsairs
UMass Dartmouth offers an entertaining night of basketball at an affordable price. Fans who like their hoops with a side of architecture may wish to visit UMass Dartmouth for another reason entirely. A tour of the Paul Rudolph-designed campus can be just as interesting as the action on the court.
