Looking ahead to the home stretch of the baseball season and summer, we have our final comprehensive rundown of dog-friendly games at the ballpark: a listing of these promotions drawing from all leagues, at all levels. In the coming week alone, there are "bark in the park" events in 13 different stadiums, spanning the country from Little Falls, New Jersey to San Angelo, Texas to Everett, Washington, with plenty of stops in-between.
Highlights include games at such highly regarded (by Stadium Journey and its readers) ballparks as the Great Lakes Loons' Dow Diamond, the Montgomery Biscuits' Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium, and the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes' Rancho Cucamonga Epicenter-- as well as "dog days" at historic McCormick Field (where the Asheville Tourists play) and Jackie Robinson Ballpark (home to the Daytona Cubs).
Additionally, there will be dog games at nine MLB stadiums-- all but one of which hosts a team still in playoff contention-- with PNC Park in Pittsburgh leading the pack, where four Pup Nights remain, including the season's final of these promotions, on Tuesday, October 2nd.
A reminder that these tickets tend to be limited, and can sell out, so it is advisable to make arrangements in advance (and certain preregistration or certifications may be required, as well-- in particular at the Major League stadiums). It is also recommended to arrive early-- so as to navigate the crowds, as well as to get the most out of the day, as there are often numerous special activities to enjoy with your friend, including giveaways, parades, and even interactions with pet-loving players and managers.
So take a look below and pick out a stadium that is either nearby or simply desirable for this unique outing, before the dog days are gone for another year.
