Stadium Journey proudly presents its list of the top 25 FCS football stadiums for 2025.

Delaware Stadium opened in 1952 and currently holds 18,500. The stadium is part of the David M. Nelson Athletic Complex.

Game day at Fortera Stadium begins when Tailgate Alley coming to life three hours before kickoff. Just west of the stadium in Lot 6, tents rise, the smell of grills fills the air, and you can hear music from a DJ.

The bright blue and yellow colors at Phil Simms Stadium really pop, and the scoreboard behind the south end zone is easy to read.

Johnny Unitas Stadium was known as both Towson Stadium and Minnegan Stadium from its opening in 1983 until a remodel in 2002.

It was on the shoulders of Pro Football Hall of Famers Marion Motley, Deacon Jones, Donnie Shell, and Harry Carson that much of the legacy of South Carolina State football was built.

These days, many things that are simply “old” are designated as “historic.” In the case of Harvard Stadium, while the facility is certainly the former, it is definitely the latter. A visit to the banks of the Charles River should be on the bucket list for any serious college football fan.

Opened in 1925, Drake Stadium plays host to Drake Bulldogs football and hosts the annual Drake Relays, one of the biggest track and field events in the nation.

Spoiler alert – big things are happening in the Rio Grande Valley; since 2022, the football-crazed denizens of the valley have been waiting with bated breath for the arrival on the field of the new UTRGV Vaqueros.

If you are in the Houston area, or are willing to make the trip, I would definitely recommend a visit to Shell Energy Stadium to see Texas Southern football.

With a picturesque view of downtown Houston in the distance, and overlooking both the HCU soccer and baseball fields, Husky Stadium is a wonderful stadium in the Football Championship Subdivision.

John L. Guidry Stadium has a solid atmosphere for football – there is a good crowd on hand, and they offer several amenities to create a pleasant time for fans.

Football can arguably be compared to an organized religion in the state of Texas.
