Time for Round II of our "bark in the park" rundown of games, with this entry focusing on the months of June and July. Once again, this is the most comprehensive list for these dog-themed promotions available, and includes everything ranging from a brand-new, Major League stadium (Marlins Park), to independent, unaffiliated outlets (like the Frontier League's Florence Freedom Ballpark).
Dog-friendly games are an enjoyable experience regardless of the on-field skills. In some ways, the more minor the league, the more fun to be had (frequently including greater access and maneuverability throughout the grounds, and often without some of the legal parameters and limitations necessary for a Major League franchise). A quick logistical reminder, however: There is generally a special section set aside for you and your four-legged friend, but it is advisable to make arrangements in advance-- as these tickets can sell out, and you may be required to preregister and/or present information regarding shots and vaccines (these are the sorts of restrictions there tend to be more of at Major League parks).
So browse through the listing below for a stadium nearby, or for one that you have simply been wanting to visit; what better excuse for a road trip than an outing that combines man's best friend with America's game? With more than 80 events in June and July, it is a good bet that you can make one happen, but if it does not work out this time around, fear not: we will be back again in a couple months to round out the season and summer with a listing of "dog days" for August and September, as well.
