It is quite possible that Michael Casiano has seen more live sporting events than anyone in the history of the world. In a recent article by ESPN, Casiano estimates that he has seen over 12,000 games in person. His travel partner, Gary Herman, has averaged more than 350 games per year for the past 16 years.
The devotion to seeing live sporting events is remarkable, and there is little wonder why the two are known as "The King" (Casiano), and "The Prince" (Herman). Gary Herman is the more outspoken of two, as he keeps an update of his travels on his blog, Royalty Tours USA. Herman has also contributed several reviews to Stadium Journey, his most recent being his review of the home of the Cincinnati Reds spring training facility, Goodyear Ballpark.
The two long-time friends are New Yorkers first and foremost, and can be found at Citi Field or Yankee Stadium for much of the year from April-October.
That's not to say that they only go to baseball games, Herman and Casiano, are at a game almost every single day of the year. They have each been nominated in two categories: General Sports Travel, and Baseball.
