Usually it's the minor league ball clubs that offer creative food options that can rival any state fair, like the Toledo Mud Hens announcing a new 'Bacon Mac n' Cheese Dog' to be served this season at Fifth Third Park, but the majors are getting in on the act. The Mud Hens parent club, the Detroit Tigers unveiled an expanded hot dog menu including a Poutine Dog, topped with french fries, cheese curds, and gravy at Comerica Park. The major food item this week comes from the Arizona Diamondbacks, who unveiled this monstrosity, an 18-inch, corn dog stuffed with jalapenos, cheese and bacon served on a (death)bed of fries, all for a cool $25 at Chase Field.
Cardiologists take note, and now on to the rest of the week's news.
