Rome, Georgia, has been home to Minor League Baseball since 2003, when the Macon Braves relocated to the city to become the Rome Braves. The team moved into AdventHealth Ballpark, where they continued competing in the South Atlantic League. Following the 2023 season, the Braves rebranded as the Rome Emperors, with the logo being an emperor penguin in the outfit of a Roman emperor. Notable Braves to have come through Rome include Freddie Freeman, Ronald Acuña Junior, and Brian
