While the Hollywood Casino next door is very well appointed, the race track itself is far from the glitz and glamour of the Kentucky Derby.

The atmosphere at Colonial Downs is amazing even on regular race days; the property is in a secluded, upscale area that feels very much like you are going out to a country club. The racing is run over three different courses, two turf and one dirt, and almost every seat outside is under cover, so you can be protected from the elements.

Scioto Downs in Columbus, Ohio features harness racing, similar to most horse racing venues in the state, where instead of a jockey riding the horse, a driver in a small cart behind the horse directs the equine’s movements. Harness horses are standardbred, a different breed than typical racehorses, which are thoroughbreds.

Velocity Invitational is a unique event in motorsports. Held annually at Sonoma Raceway, this weekend features a unique setup that stands out from other races you may be used to. Gone is the paddock space filled with large 18-wheeler haulers and paddock setups. Instead, large green spaces with lounge chairs, art pieces, and VIP areas take up the majority of Sonoma’s main paddock.

SRO America moved its annual June visit from VIR in 2026 to Road Atlanta, a historic circuit just an hour north of Georgia’s capital city. Known for its high speed and high commitment corners, this facility is a favorite among fans and competitors alike.

The race season at Sebring may be more well known for the annual IMSA 12 Hours, but another event is on the schedule to garner the attention of fans. The annual SRO America weekend, featuring no less than five race series on track, showcases sportscar racing’s best machines on this historic circuit.

As if to blast the stereotype of everything being bigger in Texas into flat-out appropriateness, Circuit of the Americas (often denoted as COTA for short) in Austin provides no better example of this. Indeed, the site of the annual US Grand Prix for Formula One is also host to a myriad other races throughout the year, including the likes of SVRA, NASCAR, and others.

The historic Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona is one of the most well-known sports car races in the world. An endurance battle that attracts the best manufacturers and drivers from around the world, this race is on any true race fan’s bucket list.

Everything is bigger in Texas, and that includes the crowds. During fan walks on the grid for races at Circuit of the Americas, it is wall-to-wall fans hobnobbing with drivers, teams, and the cars they pilot on track.

Nothing compares to Sebring – words are barely able to even describe it either. This is one giant party for everyone who attends.

The Roar features a lot of the things you’ll find at the Rolex 24, just on a smaller scale. The infield campfires grow more numerous and the party picks up only as the night darkens, just like at the 24.

While Indianapolis is synonymous with racing in America, the SRO America Indianapolis 8 Hours stands alone as the only sportscar endurance race on the annual schedule.

Petit Le Mans has become a cult classic event in the sportscar world. For 10 hours, the best in sportscar racing battle it out in a thrilling multi-class endurance race through the hills of northern Georgia.

Indianapolis Motor Speedway is the literal definition of a motorsports mecca in the United States. Every inch of the track oozes with history – this in itself should be enough to elevate the track’s profile.

Barber Motorsports Park is by far the most beautiful and well-manicured race circuit in America. The track is a natural terrain road course, meaning the track follows the rolls and undulations of the mountains upon which the facility was built.
