Es Con Field Hokkaido opened in 2023, and Stadium Journey paid a visit in the summer, coming away more than a little awestruck.

It is still worth visiting if only for the Hall of Fame, but if you do go in the summer, I’d suggest an evening game.

Built in 1924, Hanshin Koshien Stadium is Japan’s most famous stadium because it hosts two high school baseball tournaments every year.

In 2001, the Sapporo Dome was built as one of the many stadiums that would be used in the 2002 World Cup.

Certainly worth a trip to Sendai to see the Golden Eagles.

Overall, this is a decent venue for a dome. I enjoyed the friendly staff and food selection.
