Duck Dynasty Invades the Independence Bowl

by Paul Donaldson - Dec 17, 2014 9:05 AM EST

One of America's favorite reality television families will invade the 2014 Independence Bowl which features a match-up between the South Carolina Gamecocks (6-6, 3-5 SEC) and the Miami Hurricanes (6-6, 3-5 ACC) on December 27th. The famed company run by the Robertsons, Duck Commander, agreed to a six year sponsorship in February of the locally hosted Independence Bowl, replacing the former sponsor Advocare. With Duck Commander headquarters located just east of Shreveport in the Monroe area, the sponsorship continues a love fest between Louisiana and all things Duck Dynasty.

R.I.P. Brooklyn Nets Super Fan Jeffrey Gamblero

R.I.P. Brooklyn Nets Super Fan Jeffrey Gamblero

by Jon Hart - Dec 16, 2014 12:25 PM EST

I attended two Brooklyn Nets game last season. I don't remember anything about the games, but I'll never forget Jeffrey Gamblero. Jeffrey was a super fan. He was at every Nets home game - and you couldn't miss him. He wore funky glasses, neon and danced in the aisles through out the game. He made the artificial piped in arena tunes seem almost natural. Jeffrey seemed like the happiest guy in Brooklyn. Jeffrey was such a positive, passionate presence that the Nets invited him on their recent London trip.
