With College World Series play underway at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha, the casual fan may notice that few home runs are being hit. Some of this is definitely attributable to the relatively new BBCOR bats in the game. But a lot of it is also due to the dimensions of TDAP.
Each foul pole is 335 feet away, and dead center is 408 feet from the plate. Enormous compared to most of the college parks found throughout the country. But not compared to Arizona's Hi Corbett Field.
Hi Corbett comes in at 366 feet to the left field pole and 349 feet down the right field line. The gaps both check in at over 400 feet! And dead center is 392 feet.
So it should come as no surprise that the 2012 National Championship team had so much success during their undefeated playoff run.

Yes, it is the Stanley Cup Final, the League's highest profile event. What's it like to attend the biggest event in hockey?
