Chris Villani is a sports broadcaster. As a student at Syracuse University, he did broadcast work for the the school's football and men's basketball team, among others. Following graduation, Villani was the voice of the Harvard men's basketball team for four seasons. After that, for two seasons, he was the voice for the University of Vermont's (UVM) men's basketball team. This season, Villani will be calling college basketball games for ESPN3. Villani is usually the one doing the interviews. This time, we turned the tables and asked Villani a few questions. He was nice enough to discuss interviewing Jeremy Lin, best spots to hit in Syracuse and Burlington, Vermont and what it takes to call a big time game, among other subjects.

Earthquakes and Avaya Partner on New Stadium Sponsorship

On November 19, 2014 the San Jose Earthquakes announced a partnership with Santa Clara based company Avaya for the naming rights of their new stadium in San Jose. Three years after the project began, the $100 million soccer-specific stadium will open in time for the 2015 Major League Soccer Stadium, replacing their previous home Buck Shaw Stadium.
