INDOOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE (IFL)
Arizona Rattlers football is a fast-moving and exciting sporting event even for non-football fans. The team is a winning team. The arena renovations modernized the 29-year-old venue making it a more open and technically advanced sports and concert venue.
The Rio Rancho Events Center does a good job at hosting the Duke City Gladiators. I’m sure the organization, team, players, and fans appreciate the usage of the facility during the pandemic recovery period as they await the opening of their true home in Albuquerque.
Worcester has long been thought of as a second-rate player in the New England sports scene, losing out on the coveted affiliations with the Red Sox and Bruins that have traditionally gone to teams representing Providence and Portland.
NATIONAL ARENA LEAGUE (NAL)
Arena football is a lot of fun to watch because the games are generally so high scoring, and seeing a game at a really nice facility like Greensboro Coliseum makes it even more enjoyable, with the comfortable seats, nice sight lines, and pleasant atmosphere.
The game of indoor football has somewhat of an uphill battle in the Garden State, but the CURE Insurance Arena is the ideal size for the sport and the Jersey Flight organization has scored high marks with low ticket pricing, a kids friendly atmosphere, and quality merchandise.
The Gunslingers harken back to the days when the first incarnation of the USFL called the Alamo City home.
Arena football can be a little hit or miss at times, given that the sport is still in its infancy here, so cancelled or postponed games are not uncommon. The Riders put on a professional show in a solid venue, and have had great success on the field as a result. If you have the opportunity to see a game here, I would definitely take advantage of it.
