This week, after plenty of controversy and financial problems, the London Rippers of the Frontier League closed their doors. All players from the team have been granted free-agency, and the Frontier League is putting together a road only team to cover the balance of the Rippers schedule. This marks the end of another sad baseball chapter in the city of London which can't seem to keep a team very long. Time will only tell if this is truly the end of professional baseball in London, but the citizens have done nothing to show the world otherwise.
