The Ottawa 67's of the Ontario Hockey League have announced that they will be temporarily be leaving the Ottawa Civic Centre. With construction at Lansdowne Park on the new stadium beginning soon, the 67's have decided that they cannot play at the Civic Centre during this time. For the next two seasons the 67's will be playing in Kanata at Scotiabank Place, home of the Ottawa Senators. It is the intention of the 67's to return to the Civic Centre upon the completion of construction. This development also puts into question the future of the Gatineau Olympiques and their future construction at the Centre Robert Guertin. The Olympiques could be left without a home as well.
